WP Theme Almighty – Remove Footer Credits of the WordPress Theme Almighty

The WordPress theme called “Almighty” is one of the great WordPress themes with great looks, high customization options, and fast loading.

But, the theme comes with its default footer credits “THEME: ALMIGHTY BY UNITEDTHEME.”. Some people leave it as it is because there is no option in the Appearance>Customize to remove it.

But some people do not like the default theme’s footer credits and want to get it removed.

So, in this blog post, I will show you the way using which you can easily remove the default footer credits of the WordPress theme Almighty.

Remove Footer Credits from the WordPress Theme Almighty

Here, I will show you a step-by-step guide for doing the same.

Step 1 – Login to WordPress Dashboard

Login to your WordPress site’s dashboard.

To do that you will have to go to the URL http://YourSite.com/wp-admin, replace YourSite.com with the domain name of your website. You will get a page like an image below:



After that, you will have to enter your Username and Password and click Log In. And, install the theme Almighty if you have not already installed.

Step 2 - Navigate to Editor

Since you are already logged into the WordPress dashboard of your website and installed the Almighty theme.

Now, navigate to the Appearance > Editor from the Left-Hand Side admin panel as shown in the image below:



Step 3 - Navigate to footer.php

After you navigate to the Editor, you will have to open the file footer.php from the right-hand side menu. I have attached a screen-shot for the same below:


Step 4 - Change the Code

Now go to line number 79 to 81 and delete that code in order to remove the footer credits “| THEME: ALMIGHTY BY UNITEDTHEME.” as shown in the image below:


You will need to remove the above showed code (highlighted in the image above) completely and as soon you do that, your default code will be removed from the site.

Final Words

I have written this article for the WordPress Theme Almighty Version: 1.0.0 but if the theme gets an update and you find any difficulty in removing the default footer credits, let me know in the comments, I will try to update the article as soon as possible.
